As Starbucks® Turkey, we are embarking on a new journey with the support of The Starbucks Foundation and Alshaya Group, partnering with Habitat Association to provide youth with career preparation and skills training.
Through our global call to “Empower Me”, this program focuses on creating long-term, sustainable benefits for youth between the ages of 15 and 30 in their social and economic lives. In the program's first phase, a Youth Development Summit will be held with 150 volunteer youth ambassadors, offering training on topics such as digital productivity, circular economy, artificial intelligence, and 21st-century skills. Young participants will also meet with expert speakers to discuss leadership, communication, and career planning.
In the program's second phase, these youth ambassadors who successfully complete the summit and training process will share their experiences with other young people in their regions with the support of local institutions. An entrepreneurship program will also be held where young entrepreneurs can develop their business ideas, with the best ideas gaining opportunities to participate in global entrepreneurship competitions. The EmpowerMe Youth Development Program, which will include local universities, youth centers, NGOs, and other local organizations, offers youth a valuable chance to grow and realize their potential. Through the EmpowerMe Youth Development Program, we aim to prepare young people for the future of work and entrepreneurship, enhancing their skills and creating a lasting, positive impact in their social and economic status.
